Position Overview:
The Production Head plays a pivotal role in our company’s manufacturing operations, overseeing all aspects of production to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automobile or automotive parts manufacturing, particularly in PRESS SHOP and WELD SHOP processed parts. They will be responsible for leading and developing the production team, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the production department, including planning, scheduling, and execution of manufacturing activities.
– Develop and implement production plans, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
– Supervise and mentor production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a high-performing team culture.
– Monitor production metrics, such as throughput, yield, and quality, and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet targets.
– Optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance, to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies in all production activities.
– Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
– Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S, to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
– Prepare regular reports and presentations on production performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; master’s degree will be an advantage.
– 10-20 years of experience in automobile or automotive parts manufacturing, with a strong background in PRESS SHOP and WELD SHOP processed parts.
– Proven track record of success in a production leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
– In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
– Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO/TS 16949) and lean manufacturing principles.
– Experience with ERP systems and other manufacturing software tools.
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
