Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Sector 59, Faridabad, Haryana

Job Summary:
As a Senior Accountant, you will hold a vital position in overseeing our financial operations. This role is suited for a professional with 15-20 years of experience in accounting, offering an opportunity to contribute to the strategic financial decision-making process. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management and Strategy:
– Lead the financial planning and budget management processes.
– Develop financial business plans and forecasts.
– Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
– Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.

2. Accounting and Reporting:
– Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
– Prepare and present financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial positions.
– Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.

3. Taxation and Compliance:
– Oversee all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes.
– Manage the processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the company.

4. Internal Controls and Audit:
– Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
– Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and assess any changes necessary.

5. Team Leadership and Development:
– Mentor and develop a team of junior accountants, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.

6. Cash Management:
– Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
– Oversee cash, investment, and asset management areas.

7. Risk Management:
– Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
– Construct and monitor reliable control systems.

8. Stakeholder Relations:
– Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.

9. Operational Role:
– Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
– Negotiate with banks and financial services for favorable terms of service for the company.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or similar qualification will be advantageous.
– Experience: 15-20 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, preferably in the manufacturing sector

Skills:

– Extensive experience in all aspects of accounting and financial management.
– Strong understanding of business and financial principles.
– Leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
– Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
