Position Overview:
The SolidWorks Designer plays a crucial role in the design and development of our manufacturing equipment and fixtures, utilizing SolidWorks software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in SolidWorks design, with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes. They will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and optimize our products, ensuring they meet quality, performance, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
– Utilize SolidWorks software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of welding fixtures, jig fixtures, SPM machines, CNC turning, die sets, and pillar die sets.
– Collaborate with mechanical engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements, specifications, and objectives.
– Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to generate innovative ideas and solutions for product development.
– Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate design concepts, identify potential issues, and propose design modifications or improvements.
– Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
– Create and maintain documentation, including bill of materials (BOM), technical specifications, and design documentation.
– Provide technical support and assistance to manufacturing teams during the production and assembly process.
– Conduct testing and validation of prototypes to verify design performance and functionality.
– Stay updated with the latest advancements in SolidWorks software and mechanical engineering techniques.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
– 3-5 years of experience in SolidWorks design, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
– Proficiency in SolidWorks software and other CAD tools.
– Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including kinematics, dynamics, and materials science.
– Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, fabrication, and assembly.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and documentation.
– Own convenience for transportation is preferred.
