Role Overview:
The Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency in all financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices. They will be responsible for tasks such as financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and audit preparation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of our company while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:
– Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
– Develop and maintain financial reporting systems and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
– Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with department heads to establish realistic targets and objectives.
– Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, identifying areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
– Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

3. Taxation and Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including income tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
– Prepare and file tax returns, maintain tax records, and respond to tax notices and inquiries from regulatory authorities.
– Coordinate with external tax consultants and auditors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and assessments.

4. Audit Preparation and Coordination:
– Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
– Coordinate audit activities, including scheduling meetings, providing requested information, and addressing auditor inquiries.
– Implement audit recommendations and process improvements to enhance internal controls and financial reporting accuracy.

5. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
– Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
– Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely collection and payment of outstanding balances.
– Monitor cash flow and liquidity position, optimizing working capital management and cash flow forecasting.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations, including taxation and financial reporting standards.
– Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as Tally, SAP, or Oracle.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
– Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or CPA is preferred but not required.
