Job Description: CAD/CAM Engineer (AutoCAD and UG-NX)

Located in NIT Faridabad, Haryana, we are now seeking a CAD/CAM Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:
The CAD/CAM Engineer plays a pivotal role in our engineering department, responsible for utilizing AutoCAD and UG-NX software to design and develop industrial equipment and components. With 1-3 years of experience in CAD/CAM software, the ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, creativity, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:
– Utilize AutoCAD and UG-NX software to create 2D and 3D models, drawings, and technical specifications for industrial equipment, components, and systems.
– Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand design requirements, specifications, and project objectives, ensuring alignment with customer needs and industry standards.
– Conduct design reviews, feasibility studies, and technical analyses to evaluate design concepts, identify potential issues, and recommend optimal solutions to meet project goals.

2. Prototype and Testing Support:
– Assist in the prototyping and testing of new product designs, providing technical support and guidance to the manufacturing and testing teams to ensure product performance and functionality.
– Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement or optimization, and implement design modifications or iterations to enhance product quality, reliability, and efficiency.

3. Documentation and Reporting:
– Prepare detailed design documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards and procedures.
– Maintain organized project files and records, documenting design changes, revisions, and project milestones throughout the design and development process.
– Provide regular progress updates, reports, and presentations to project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for project improvement.

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards in all design and development activities, adhering to best practices and quality control processes.
– Participate in design reviews, quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of design methodologies, processes, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
– 1-3 years of experience in CAD/CAM software, with proficiency in AutoCAD and UG-NX.
– Strong understanding of engineering principles, design concepts, and manufacturing processes.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
– Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
– Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and design validation/testing methodologies is preferred.
