Role Overview:
The Computer Operator role is an entry-level position suitable for freshers who are eager to kick-start their career in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of computer operations and software applications, along with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. As a Computer Operator, you will be responsible for performing various clerical and data entry tasks, supporting the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Entry and Clerical Tasks:
– Input data into computer systems and databases accurately and efficiently.
– Update and maintain electronic records, files, and documents as required.
– Perform routine clerical tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
2. Computer Operations:
– Operate computer equipment and peripheral devices, such as printers and scanners.
– Monitor computer systems for errors or issues and troubleshoot as needed.
– Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information and data.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
– Prepare and format documents, reports, and presentations using word processing and spreadsheet software.
– Generate and distribute routine reports and correspondence as directed by management.
– Assist in compiling and organizing data for analysis and decision-making purposes.
4. Communication and Coordination:
– Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate workflow and tasks.
– Respond to inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
– Collaborate with other departments to facilitate the exchange of information and documentation.
5. Quality Assurance:
– Verify the accuracy and completeness of data and information before entry or submission.
– Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with established procedures.
– Report any discrepancies or errors to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Qualifications and Skills:
– High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
– Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
– Strong typing and data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
– Prior experience in data entry or clerical work is preferred but not required.
