Role Overview:
The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components within the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes. They will be responsible for tasks such as product design, equipment maintenance, process optimization, and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Design and Development:
– Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
– Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analysis to evaluate design concepts and ensure performance and reliability.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to bring new products from concept to production.

2. Equipment Maintenance and Optimization:
– Perform regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, identifying and addressing any issues or abnormalities.
– Troubleshoot mechanical problems and implement solutions to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
– Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

3. Process Improvement and Optimization:
– Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the manufacturing process, such as reducing cycle times, improving yield, or minimizing waste.
– Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
– Collaborate with production managers and engineers to implement process changes and monitor their effectiveness.

4. Quality Assurance and Control:
– Develop and implement quality control measures and inspection procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
– Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality-related issues, working closely with the quality assurance team.
– Monitor and analyze product performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

5. Documentation and Reporting:
– Prepare technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and operating procedures.
– Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and equipment maintenance activities.
– Generate reports and presentations to communicate project status, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
– 1-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
– Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
– Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
– Experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) is a plus.
– Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
