Job Description: PPC (Production Planning and Control) Manager

Committed to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a talented and experienced PPC Executive to join our team.

Role Overview:
The PPC Executive plays a pivotal role in our production planning and control processes, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, timely delivery of orders, and adherence to production schedules. With 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management, the ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence and growth of our company in the competitive injection molding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling:
– Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and production capacity, ensuring optimal utilization of resources, equipment, and manpower.
– Coordinate with sales, marketing, and production teams to prioritize orders, allocate resources, and set production priorities to meet customer delivery timelines and production targets.
– Monitor production progress, track work-in-progress (WIP) inventory, and adjust production schedules as needed to address delays, bottlenecks, or changes in customer requirements.

2. Material and Inventory Management:
– Manage raw material procurement, inventory levels, and stock availability to support production schedules and minimize stockouts, excess inventory, or material shortages.
– Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to forecast material requirements, place purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, and supplies to meet production demands.
– Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and stock reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.

3. Production Efficiency and Performance Analysis:
– Analyze production performance metrics, including production yield, cycle times, machine utilization, and downtime, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
– Implement lean manufacturing principles, process improvements, and best practices to streamline production workflows, minimize waste, and enhance productivity and throughput.
– Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to address production issues, equipment breakdowns, and quality concerns, ensuring compliance with quality standards and production targets.

4.  Reporting and Documentation:
– Prepare and maintain production reports, dashboards, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to management on production status, capacity utilization, and adherence to production schedules.
– Generate production plans, work orders, and job cards, documenting production activities, resource allocations, and material requirements for each production run.
– Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies and procedures related to production planning, inventory management, and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
– 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, and control, preferably in the injection molding or manufacturing industry.
– Proficiency in production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve production efficiency and performance.
– Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
– Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools is preferred.
