Job Description:

As a Quality Engineer at the Company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products meets or exceeds customer expectations. This position requires a highly skilled individual with 2-3 years of experience in quality engineering, particularly in the sheet metal manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of ISO systems, QMS systems, sheet metal fabrication processes, and machinery operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management Systems (QMS):
– Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
– Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality procedures and standards.
– Lead efforts to obtain and maintain relevant certifications and accreditations.

2. Quality Assurance:
– Establish and enforce quality control standards for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
– Perform regular inspections and quality checks to verify conformance to specifications and requirements.
– Investigate and resolve quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
– Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of quality problems.

3. Documentation and Reporting:
– Maintain accurate records of quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and certifications.
– Prepare quality reports and metrics to track performance trends and identify areas for improvement.
– Ensure completeness and accuracy of all required documentation for product shipments and regulatory compliance.

4. Supplier Quality Management:
– Evaluate supplier performance and conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
– Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues with suppliers.
– Monitor and address non-conforming materials or components from suppliers to maintain product quality.

5. Continuous Improvement:
– Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
– Utilize quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to drive improvements.
– Engage employees at all levels in quality improvement activities and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

6. Training and Development:
– Provide training to production operators and quality inspectors on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
– Conduct workshops or seminars on quality-related topics to enhance team knowledge and skills.
– Mentor junior staff members and support their professional growth and development.

7. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
– Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
– Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks in the workplace.
– Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among employees.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
– 2-3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the sheet metal manufacturing industry.
– Strong knowledge of ISO systems, QMS systems, and quality management principles.
– Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
– Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, MSA).
– Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and machinery.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
