Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:
– Take charge of the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
– Monitor credit terms, and collections, and maintain positive relationships with both vendors and clients.
– Conduct regular reconciliations of customer accounts and supplier statements.

4. General Ledger Oversight:
– Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through meticulous recording and coding of financial transactions.
– Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
– Implement and reinforce internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

5. Tax Compliance and Strategy:
– Prepare and file timely and accurate tax returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
– Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring full compliance.
– Collaborate with external tax consultants to optimize tax strategies.

6. Audit Coordination:
– Take a lead role in coordinating annual audits with external auditors.
– Prepare detailed audit schedules and provide necessary support documentation.
– Implement audit recommendations to enhance financial controls and reporting.

7. Cash Flow Management:
– Monitor and manage cash flow effectively to meet operational needs.
– Implement strategies to optimize working capital, reduce financial risks, and ensure liquidity.
– Develop and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts.

8. Financial Systems and Software Management:
– Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems.
– Ensure seamless integration of financial systems for improved efficiency and accuracy.
– Provide training to team members on the effective use of financial software.

9. Team Leadership and Development:
– Provide strong leadership to a team of junior accountants, offering guidance, and support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

10. Cost Analysis and Management:
– Conduct regular cost analysis to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
– 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, with a focus on financial management and reporting.
– In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
– Proficient in using accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
– Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
