Job Summary-Research And Development Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager – Technical Lead (Electrical Engineering) to lead our Research and Development (R&D) initiatives. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, prototyping, and implementing electrical systems for new and existing machinery. This position demands a hands-on approach to electrical design, expertise in PLC programming (Mitsubishi), and proficiency in electrical design software.

As the Technical Lead, you will oversee electrical design and development processes, manage project budgets, train technicians, and ensure seamless execution of innovative solutions in line with cost-effectiveness and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities-Research And Development Job

Conceptual Design and Prototyping

• Develop innovative conceptual designs and layouts for new machinery and automation systems.
• Lead the prototyping process, ensuring designs align with technical requirements and client specifications.
• Prepare and finalize the Bill of Materials (BOM) for projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

PLC Programming and Electrical Design

• Develop, test, and implement PLC programming with a strong focus on Mitsubishi systems.
• Design and generate detailed electrical diagrams for both new and existing machines using electrical design software.
• Troubleshoot and optimize PLC programming to improve machine performance and functionality.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all development stages in R&D projects.
• Ensure all project reports, designs, and diagrams are accurately recorded and accessible for future reference.
• Present progress reports and technical updates to management and stakeholders.

Supervision and Training

• Train and supervise electrical technicians to enhance their skills and improve production processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during production and testing.

Costing and Budget Management

• Conduct detailed costing and budgeting for projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Identify and implement alternative materials and methods to optimize project costs.
• Monitor budget utilization throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any discrepancies proactively.

Innovation and Improvement

• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in electrical engineering and automation technologies.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance machine efficiency, reliability, and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall machinery designs.

Required Skills and Qualifications-Research And Development Job

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electronics and Communication (EC).

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years and up to 10 years of experience in SPMs, automation, or machinery manufacturing industries.

Technical Skills

• Extensive hands-on experience in PLC programming, particularly with Mitsubishi systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical design software to create detailed diagrams and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, systems, and integration techniques.

Project Management Skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and budget compliance.
• Expertise in project costing, budgeting, and resource optimization.

Soft Skills
