Position Overview-Night Security Guard with Driving Skills
The Night Security Guard will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises during the night hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, be vigilant, and have the ability to handle any emergencies that may arise. Additionally, the candidate should possess driving skills to assist in various transportation needs during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities-Night Security Guard with Driving Skills
Security and Surveillance
– Patrolling: Conduct regular patrols of the hospital premises, including all entry and exit points, parking areas, and surrounding grounds, to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
– Monitoring: Use surveillance equipment to monitor hospital premises. Ensure all security cameras are operational and regularly check footage for any unusual activity.
– Access Control: Manage and monitor access to the hospital during the night shift. Ensure that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry.
– Incident Response: Respond promptly to any security breaches, alarms, or emergencies. Take appropriate action to mitigate risks and report incidents to the appropriate authorities.
– Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of all security-related activities, incidents, and observations. Prepare and submit reports to the security supervisor and hospital management.
Driving Responsibilities
– Transport Services: Provide transportation services for hospital staff, patients, and visitors as needed. This may include driving to and from local destinations, such as other medical facilities or residences.
– Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that hospital vehicles are well-maintained and in good working condition. Perform routine checks and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
– Emergency Transport: Be available to drive in case of medical emergencies, ensuring timely and safe transport of patients to required destinations.
Safety Compliance
– Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations. Ensure that all security measures comply with hospital policies and legal requirements.
– Fire Safety: Conduct regular checks of fire safety equipment, such as extinguishers and alarms. Be prepared to act in case of a fire emergency, including assisting with evacuations.
– First Aid: Provide basic first aid as needed. Ensure that first aid kits are stocked and accessible.
Customer Service
– Assistance: Provide assistance and directions to patients, visitors, and staff. Maintain a helpful and courteous demeanor at all times.
– Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts and disputes calmly and professionally. Mediate and resolve issues to ensure a peaceful environment.
– Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with hospital staff, management, and external authorities. Relay important information promptly and accurately.
Additional Duties
– Routine Checks: Perform routine checks of hospital facilities, including doors, windows, and equipment, to ensure they are secure and functioning properly.
– Lost and Found: Manage the hospital’s lost and found system. Ensure that lost items are logged and stored securely until they can be returned to their rightful owners.
– Training and Development: Participate in training programs to stay updated on the latest security practices and procedures. Continuously improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills-Night Security Guard with Driving Skills
Educational Background
– Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
– Preferred Education: Additional certification or training in security or law enforcement is an advantage.
Professional Experience
– Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a security role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting. Driving experience is also required.
– Industry Knowledge: Understanding of security practices and procedures in a healthcare environment.
