Role Overview-Solidworks Designer job

As a SolidWorks Designer job at the Company, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings using SolidWorks software. With 0.6-1 years of experience in SolidWorks design, the successful candidate will have a strong grasp of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities-Solidworks Designer job

1. 3D Modeling and Design:
– Utilize SolidWorks software to develop 3D models, parts, assemblies, and drawings based on project requirements, technical specifications, and design standards.
– Collaborate with engineering teams to conceptualize and design innovative products, components, or mechanical systems, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and adherence to design guidelines.

2. Technical Drawing and Documentation:
– Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints for manufacturing and fabrication, incorporating geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles and industry standards.
– Generate bill of materials (BOM), part lists, and material specifications, documenting design changes, revisions, and annotations accurately for record-keeping and traceability.

3. Prototype Development and Testing:
– Support prototype development and testing activities by providing design input, creating prototype models, and iterating designs based on feedback from stakeholders or test results.
– Conduct design reviews and analysis to identify potential design flaws, improve performance, and optimize product design for functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

4. Collaboration and Communication:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of design solutions and alignment with project timelines and objectives.
– Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and external stakeholders to present design concepts, solicit feedback, and address design-related issues or concerns proactively.

5. Continuous Improvement and Learning:
– Stay updated on the latest SolidWorks software updates, features, and best practices, participating in training programs, workshops, and online resources to enhance technical proficiency and expand skill set.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies, proposing innovative solutions and implementing design optimizations to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

Qualifications and Skills-Solidworks Designer job

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
– 0.6-1 years of experience in SolidWorks design, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
– Proficiency in SolidWorks software and CAD modeling techniques, with a strong understanding of parametric modeling, surface modeling, and assembly modeling.
– Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design standards.
– Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and ideas to diverse audiences.
